JoMIZ is proud to announce the launch of its new economic development project in Jordan “eShraaq (إشراق)”, in cooperation with USAID LENS. The first phase of the project will focus on enabling and empowering women-owned and/or women-run Jordanian MSEs.
Eshraaq’s main objective is to transfer knowledge and know-how to the MSEs in the area of e-commerce and related fields, such as e-marketing, developing simplified marketing strategies, products photography, social media marketing principles, and online store management skills, in order to increase sales and transfer these SMEs into self-sustainable businesses.
In this phase “eShraaq” will target Amman, Zarqa, and Irbid through a series of public events to increase awareness about the benefits of e-marketing and e-commerce for Micro/Small/Medium businesses, especially those which are owned by women. The next step will be specialized training sessions given for a selective group of businesses that show promising management styles and capabilities. In addition, these groups of businesses will be given many tools to help them establish real sales and marketing channels on the internet.
Additionally, “eShraaq” will do multiple partnerships with local businesses to provide new and better services for SMEs. Some of these partners will be specialized in micro-financing, training, telecommunication, and other fields.
