In terms of economic empowerment and promotion of success and achievement of entrepreneurial work and SMEs in Jordan, The Holy River for Digital Marketing (JoMIZ) and USAID LENS, have signed another partnership agreement to expand the “eShraaq – eCommerce & eMarketing Strategies” program due to the success achieved in the first phase.

As a part of the ongoing efforts to improve women entrepreneurs’ capabilities, the implementation of this program takes place to overcome the challenges and difficulties businesswomen may face in their careers. Most of the biggest challenges are in the field of eCommerce and eMarketing at a time where traditional marketing methods are backing down, as well as the weakness of the local market and lack of marketing channels.

The program aims to provide specialized and intensive training, tools, services, and follow-up for women-based MSEs in Jordan, to build their abilities in the field of eCommerce and eMarketing, in order to allow this business to reach sustainable levels and enhance their economic situation.

It is worth noting that the “eShraaq – eCommerce & eMarketing Strategies Phase III” program is designed to help women innovate, lead, manage and develop projects. In addition, to raise the efficiency of small enterprises to overcome the challenges and emerging difficulties. We hope that the program will cover the largest number of women projects and female entrepreneurs.

According to the agreement, this phase of the project will be implemented in four governorates: Irbid, Zarqa, Amman, and Karak. And public seminars will be held, to clarify and explain the program and its features and how to join the program and to answer all inquiries. We will then communicate with women entrepreneurs directly to complete the delivery of services to them to the fullest.

It is noteworthy that the first phase involved more than 60 promising women-based MSEs in the governorates of Amman (Sahab area), Zarqa, and Irbid, and the second phase involved more than 110 promising women-based MSEs in the governorates of Zarqa, Irbid, Karak, Aqaba and Tafileh, where the program was successful and received satisfaction and positive feedback from the participating entrepreneurs.

On his part, Mr. Rashad Baybars, the director of USAID LENS, confirmed that this program comes within the framework of strategies that supports women entrepreneurs and small/medium women enterprises. Also to promote the idea of eCommerce in light of the few opportunities available in the domestic market, and that the second phase will cover more areas, especially the southern provinces of the Kingdom.

On the other hand, Mr. Ahmed Farah, Executive Director of JoMIZ, said that through eShraaq – eCommerce & eMarketing Strategies, we aim to provide tools for small and micro enterprises, to make use of the opportunities associated with the re-employment of modern marketing techniques, to achieve higher returns on businesses, and to focus on entrepreneurs’ skills development.

Accordingly, the program will be launched soon and there will be coordination between the competent authorities and the local committees to start the implementation of the second phase of the program.
