eShraaq I
eShraaq is an entrepreneurship development program that we have implemented in partnership with FHI360/USAID LENS (https://jordanlens.org/) that aims to develop 65 MSMEs in Amman, Zarqa, and Irbid through an integrated framework of specialized training, guidance, solutions, and follow-up on various business concepts and aspects (e.g. management, marketing, and entrepreneurship tools). The eShraaq program extends beneficiaries with:
- Entrepreneurship strategies: the program aims to help entrepreneurs to develop and apply new strategies and action plans for managing and developing their projects, as well as basic skills to start and sustain their business.
- Financial management strategies: the program aims to develop the capabilities of entrepreneurs in financial planning, its steps, objectives, and the data and information related to it. It also enables entrepreneurs to prepare budgets and use them as a tool for planning, monitoring, and decision-making.
- E-Commerce strategies: through specialized e-commerce and e-marketing training, the program aims to provide a wide range of services and tools to help entrepreneurs develop their skills to conduct marketing and commerce on the Internet, and hence promote business sustainability.
eShraaq II
eShraaq II is an extension of the eShraaq I program. It targeted 110 small-medium enterprises (MSMEs in Irbid, Zarqa, Karak, Tafilah, and Aqaba.
eShraaq III
eShraaq III is another extension of eShraaq I & II programs. It targeted 90 MSMEs in Irbid, Zarqa, and Karak.
eShraaq IV
eShraaq IV is an entrepreneur development program, which we have implemented in partnership with FHI360/USAID LENS, that aims to develop 100 MSMEs in Amman, Irbid, Karak, Zarqa, and Aqaba. eShraaq IV focused on business management aspects that include financial literacy, financial management, human resource management, development of standard operating procedures, and inventory and cash flow management, among others.
Business Management Training Program (BMT) for Micro Business
The Business Management Training (BMT) for Micro Businesses Program was delivered between 2020 and 2021 in partnership with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and The International Federation of Red Cross (IFRC) and benefited 120 Jordanians and Syrian refugees small agricultural and home-based businesses owners. The training program focused on:
- Financial management.
- Feasibility studies and business and financial planning.
- Costing structure and pricing.
- Innovative networking and collaboration.
- Marketing and market penetration.
- Trademark development.
- Legal structure.
- Business sustainability.
Products and Services Prototyping Development Program for Micro Business
The Products and Services Prototyping Development Program for Micro Businesses was delivered in 2021 in partnership with the Near East Foundation, benefitting 100 Jordanians and Syrian refugees. The program included:
- Development and testing of new or improved product/service features as well as improved labeling, packaging, and branding techniques.
Market-access coaching. - Identifying and accessing new or improved distribution and sales channels and new customer segments.
- Facilitating participation in regular peer-led networks, innovative partnerships, and joint marketing opportunities.
- Coaching on promotion and advertising.
e-Marketing Training for the Wise Women Plumbers Cooperative
The e-Marketing Training was delivered to members of the Wise Women Plumbers Cooperative (WWPC) in 2019 in partnership with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ). The overall objective of the training is to build the capacity of WWPC members to impart skills and knowledge necessary to take up high electronic marketing technical skills, tactics, and tricks on marketing & eMarketing. The training program focused on:
- Strategic understanding of digital marketing and business networking.
- Social media marketing and promotion.
- New approaches to marketing include content marketing and video marketing.
- e-payment and shipping.
- Basics of e-Commerce.
- Blending digital with offline marketing.
- Increasing online visibility and attracting new customers and enhancing the relationship with customers and creating loyal ones.
- Identifying and avoiding costly digital marketing practices.
